Obama: Santa Or The Grinch

As we all roll into our first holiday season under The Obama Reign, will this be a joyless holiday season? What goodies will the President place under all our trees this year? Will we open up our boxes Christmas morning to find our books from Karl Marx and Bill Ayers? Will we discover in our stockings, a fine because we did not purchase health care?

Will our foreclosure notice hang from our tree? Will we have a house to place the tree in or will we be living under a tree? Will we get a framed, year end statement of our 401K? Will we finally get our swine flu shot to wash down with our seasonal eggnog?

grinch2Yes, the holiday season has arrived and not a moment too soon. The first holiday season with our new cars from the cash for clunkers program should be grand indeed. Of course our clunkers were paid for but hey, I’m sure that new car payments won’t get in the way of a bountiful Christmas. After all, our companies just can’t stop giving us raises for a job well done.

Oh yes, Christmas with The Obamas seems grand. I’m so glad he was the anti-war candidate, because now we will have all of our families and friends home for the holidays. Yes, this is going to be the best Christmas ever.

Global Warming might get in the way of us having a White Christmas but in truth, at least we have The White House and the snow job they provide. Please don’t believe those rumors of a Socialist Christmas. Santa is not coming to our homes to take the presents away and give them to people who didn’t earn them.

Apparently the swine flu vaccine didn’t make it to the North Pole and Santa will be sick. However on a good note, Wall Street Executives show no sign of the flu and the rumor is that it will be a merry-merry Christmas around lower Manhattan.

Christmas Day

Over the pond as they say. Somewhere in a town in Europe, which name would evade us all and have no baring on the story, there was a rich man who lived in a village. He owned most of the land as far as the eyes of the locals could see. He had a man who worked for him named John.

This man John took care of  the rich man’s land and lived on the property with his family. John was a simple man. He didn’t have a lot of money and he and his family lived very modestly on the property.

He lived there with his wife and two teenage daughters. John had a world class work ethic and provided for his family just enough to get by. The family, however, was very content and happy.

Every night at supper they would say grace and spend a lot of the nights of the year making their own clothes. Last Christmas Eve, John woke up from a dream, put his clothes on and walked to the big house where the rich employer lived.

Shaking, John knocked on the front door. There was no response ,so John pounded harder on the door. The rich man upstairs heard the commotion and put his robe on and walked down stairs to open the door. To his consternation, he stood there at the door staring at his worker John.

He asked ” What’s wrong John?”

John stood there shaking. He said to the rich man that he had a dream. He said that God came to him on Christmas Eve in his dream to tell him that the richest guy in the village was going to die tonight.

The rich man just looked at him. He said now John you know I don’t believe in that kind of stuff. John still affected by the vividness of the dream stood his ground and told him once again.

“God has come to me in a dream and told me that the richest man in the village is going to die tonight.”

The rich man started to get angry and told John to go back to bed and leave him alone with such nonsense. Trembling John went home. The rich guy walked back upstairs and went to bed.

This time he just couldn’t sleep. He kept thinking of what John told him. Angry with himself, he got up and called his personal doctor. He told the doctor to come over immediately and give him a check up.

The doctor came by and gave the rich man a head to toe examination and declared he was healthy as an ox. Still unconvinced, the rich man asked the doctor to stay and have a nightcap with him. He asked the doctor to stay until midnight. Well, midnight came and the doctor left.

The rich man returned to bed so angry at himself for listening to that crazy John. The next day Christmas morning the rich man woke up again to someone pounding on his door. He just knew it was John and couldn’t wait to open the door and show John that the richest man in the valley did not die last night.

He hurried downstairs and swung open the door. To his shock, there was John’s teenage daughter screaming and crying. The rich man asked her to calm down and tell him what was wrong.

The girl finally got herself together and said “My mother sent me over here to tell you that my daddy, John, died last night.”

The Ghost Of Walter Cronkite

With yet another Twentieth Century Icon passing on to the afterlife, one can’t help but notice many of these Icons have no replacement. No one is left behind that can fill their shoes in their absence. Whatever category they raised to the top in, no one is left to carry their water.

Walter Cronkite is just another example of this. His legacy could be narrowed down into one word, “objectivity.” The way that newsman would deliver the news, left no traces of personal bias. We never had to be enraged watching the evening news by seeing the personal bias of the anchor dripping all over our screen. Objective news reporting has become a thing of the past. Now we just pick our favorite and go with that. We have to bounce back and forth to get both sides, so we can find the truth, which always resides in the middle.

We have no more middlemen. Walter along with Tim Russet was the last of the Mohicans and for people like me they will both be sorely missed. It is quite a sad state of affairs when one realizes the propaganda talking heads we are left with on both sides. It is gravitas itself that I will miss with men like this. The men of stature and weight have moved on and have left the world with posers and people who have failed with the dream of truth and a free press.

walter2Walter like no other newsman really did earn our trust and there is not a single news anchor left today who has earned anything but our disdain. David Gregory of Meet The Press would be the only exception I could identify. The rest are cartoons in a cartoon graveyard.

People always point to technology or all the different choice we have now to get the news. However, this is nonsense. If we had a single news network anchor that we could trust, it wouldn’t matter how many choices we had. We would follow that trust and stand with that person, but none of them held our loyalty. The dying network newscast has stopped being appointment TV not because of technology and choice. It is dieing because of the anchors, plain and simple. The blame lies with them, even if they want to hide behind these excuses.

If they were the best at what they did, America would gravitate towards excellence. That is who we are. May the Lord forgive Walter from all his sins and grant him peace in the afterlife. Walter if you could, just for me, say hello to David Brinkley and tell him we miss him too.

Lets Talk About Race

The President of The United States of America hoped aloud, that after the incident in Massachusetts he wanted all of us to start talking about race. He ostensibly yearns for an honest discussion about race relations in America. The problem with that is that it seems almost impossible. Clearly what I’m seeing is he is desirous of a frank and honest discussion about the state of race relations in our beloved country. Yet how could this be possible, when the discussion seems to be one of how bad the white man is and the digging up of the slave days.

It seems to me that minorities want this discussion as long as the argument leans towards how bad the white man is and not an honest look of all of our contributions to this lack of harmony. White people left and right are forced into a politically correct corner, where we have to take the part of the villain and hang that anathema around our collective necks. I have sat back since we have elected our first black President, which was only possible with white votes and I’ve been sick watching the whole thing. The black Attorney General of the country called us all cowards when it came to talking about race. How many of us really think he was calling black people cowards?

I watched some soon-to-be Supreme Court Justice get away with publicly saying a wise Latino woman could come to a “better” decision than an old white man and knowing that this would have completely destroyed a white man if he said something like that. It would have ended his career. Now you tell me, if we are going to be colorblind and that statement would destroy a white man, then why shouldn’t it destroy a Latino woman? Not only that, but when the four black men in the city of New Haven failed the civil service exam, she immediately sided with the “race card” element and threw out the passing scores of the one Hispanic and nineteen white firefighters. So does this say that racism against white men is acceptable to her? If we want equal, then equal is equal and that woman would never see a full Senate vote.

And let’s get a little bit deeper. The blacks of America have drug Hispanics into their cause and juxtaposed their plight with the African American community. Can we be completely honest here? Hispanic people of all descents have no more or no less disdain of the black community than the white people do. The truth of the matter is that they will only align themselves with the blacks during this moment in history. The reality is that the future is on their side. The demographics of North America are trending towards Hispanics.

pob2Central America, South America and North America, in forty or fifty years, will be primarily of Hispanic descent. It is just the pure numbers of their birth rate. Europe and its demographics will become primarily Muslim; the western hemisphere will be primarily Hispanic, including the United States of America. Now does anyone in the black community truly believe that in fifty or sixty years when the Hispanics are the majority that they will have any social or economic connection with that race? Are African Americans not aware that Hispanics have their own prejudices against blacks?

Do African Americans understand that even under the Hispanic community that there is a hierarchy? We’re talking about race; so let me ask the black community of America, where do you really think you stand in the hierarchy of the Hispanic community? All of this is moments in time of convenience. It is groups of people that will band together against other groups to get a social and economic advantage. Where will the African Americans be when the Hispanics have complete and unfettered control over the aspects of North America? Do they really believe Hispanics will remember their kinship?

C’mon, I’m talking about honesty. We are in the middle of a national discussion about race and I’m talking about utter honesty. Not that fake honesty that you will see on the news perpetuated by white, liberal, politically correct people who think they are so enlightened and have the edge of pragmatism. We’re talking about the raw truth of racism in America.

We witnessed the President of The United States publicly jump on a bunch of white cops without ever knowing what really happened. For him to have immediately jumped to his conclusions and berate those police officers about race shows exactly why we need a complete and honest conversation about racism. To call what those white men did “stupid,” when the stupidity reeked from what the black professor from Harvard did, was very revealing. I feel sad for every white person that voted for him and tried to show the world we are not all racists; then when it was absolutely clear the whole race element and its genesis was born from the soul of that angry black professor it revealed hypocrisy at the very least. However it is more than that.

Everyone knows that the demographics of this country are headed towards making white people the minority. What we are seeing is something very similar to what happened in South Africa when apartheid came to an end. The black revenge was catastrophic when the white minority and his power were taken down. They took their land, gang raped their woman and plunged South Africa into a darkness and graveyard of failure that still exists today.

While the whites were busy worrying about their “right to choose” and murdering our babies and our race out of demographic existence, the Hispanics were bringing new lives into this hemisphere and steadily raising their numbers. Here we are as white people literally on the cliff of demographic irrelevance and we have to lay down and be handed this load of crap and told at the same time, black folks are desirous of an honest conversation about race. You want an honest debate about race? Then lets have one.

I want you to tell me why it is that when I drive into eighty percent of black neighborhoods that there are bars on the windows. Tell me about the state of those neighborhoods. Explain that to me. What is with all the bars? Are they not aware that is a fire hazard? Do they not realize if they have a house fire that they are stuck inside due to the bars? What happened to the state of their families, all those kids everywhere with no fathers? You want honesty, well then tell me when there are black people in the Supreme Court, Congress and the White House, why the black community can still have excuses. Why, if they can rise all the way to the White House can they now complain about cops picking on them? I am so sick of that.

Let me tell you something you apparently don’t know. Skin color doesn’t matter and all of those statements saying that if Professor Gates were white then he wouldn’t have been arrested are a complete farce. Let me tell you something and listen to me clearly. If a white man smarts off at a cop and won’t stop, they are going to jail too. How on Earth this lie has been able to be perpetuated is beyond me. White people are dragged out of their own homes in cuffs every damned day. What planet are you living on? Smart off to a cop, don’t stop and you’re going to jail; I don’t care if the color of your skin is green.

We cannot have an honest discussion of race while white people hide in the political correct closest and get into the fetal position. Well, to hell with that! I see the Attorney General and the President with all his friends stirring the pot of race relations, nothing could be clearer.

Here is your test. If a white guy could get in trouble with what they are doing and saying, then it is wrong that all races don’t live by the same standard. Either we are equal or we are headed towards South Africa. Just don’t tell me that I can verbally attack some cop inside my home, then follow him outside and continue the attack and not be arrested just because I’m white. If that is your intellectual argument, then I’m sorry my brother man we will never see eye-to-eye.

I’m not sure that there is anyone out there who actually wants race relations to be equal like I do. However, I will not surrender my white heritage, my common sense and my pragmatism for any of it. This is America. It is 2009. Slavery is over. Demographics are king. And as a white man, I don’t have much time left to tell you the truth and this is the truth, if you truly want to talk about race.

Baby Boomers Have Destroyed the World

Inevitably, at the end of,  and the beginning of each year we are all subject to some “year in review” served up right to us through the dysfunctional eyes of some baby boomer. Their constant comparisons to everything from the sixties and, in the strangest way, always telling us that our hard times today just aren’t anything compared to some bizarre year they pull out of their tuckus from the sixties.

I’m so sick of these people. The baby boomers are the most self absorbed, dysfunctional group of malcontents that have ever been created in the history of the United States of America. These bozos have almost destroyed the entire world, America, the family,  marriage and just about any institution they got there hands on. As Obama screamed at the Democratic convention at the Republicans, “Enough!”  This battle cry comes from the generation that had to clean up the mess of this depraved group of people. “Enough!”

You see, before there was generation X or any other cute, little name they’re giving themselves, there was what some called “Latch-Key Babies.”  The name came from the idea that we were the first generation that came home to an empty house, because our parents were divorced and Mommy was...     [Read More...]

Santa Claus and the Bailout

The senate sub-committee was just coming to an end. All of America’s industry had shown up with hat in hand for a piece of the bailout money pie. The gavel was just about to be slammed down calling an end to this ignoble orgy of government spending.

All of a sudden, a loud noise burst through the chamber. All of the senators looked up and to their consternation there was Santa Claus walking towards them with a hurried pace.

“Senator ! Senator!” yelled Santa, “One more thing!”

Each politician looked at each other with curious anticipation. Santa stood before the microphone and said that he was here for some of the bailout money.

Vexed, the lead senator in charge asked how could this be? “You’re Santa Claus. Why do you need any of this bailout money?”

Santa lowered is head and with his shiny cheeks looked back up and said, “I don’t think I can make it until Christmas. Things at the North Pole are so bad that I’m not sure if we might have to go into bankruptcy before the holiday.”

One senator stood up and yelled, “What the hell are you talking about?”

Santa said, “Listen to me; many years ago the union showed up at the North Pole and demanded concessions from me and Mrs. Claus for all of the Elves. They got all of the Elves worked up over health care and life time compensation. The Elves threatened to strike and at that time it was so close to Christmas that we had no choice but to give in to the union and it’s demands. Over the years, because of that union contract, the Elves refused to truly put in a full day’s work and there is nothing we can do about it. We even have to pay some elves that don’t even work for us anymore. The pressure of all of this has put Christmas itself at jeopardy and whether or not we can meet the needs of the children of the world will depend entirely on the American Congress and whether or not you can give me some of that bailout money to keep it all going.”

One of the senators stood up and asked Santa how did he travel here today? Santa said that he got the reindeer together, grabbed the sled, and rushed right over. The senator asked Santa if he knew about all of the methane that was released through all of the reindeer passing gas? He asked Santa whether he knew or not that reindeer and cows are both killing the planet.

Santa stood there stunned and speechless. Another senator asked Santa where was his written plan showing the American Congress his business plans on how to run the North Pole. Once again, Santa was without words.

The senators told Santa it would have been better if he carpooled here rather then leaving such a carbon footprint with the sled and reindeer. They told Santa to leave and come back when he had a written plan on how to run the North Pole. They told him to consider, on his return, Santa’s form of transportation and if Santa wanted some bailout money it might be considered if Santa would agree to build more “green” toys.

With his hat in hand, Santa walked out of the building and onto the doorsteps of the Capital. The reporters were there waiting. Santa walked up to the microphone and a reporter asked, “What will you do now?”

Santa looked down at the sea of reporters waiting on his every word and said, “Well, I guess I need to go to Mexico. I need some cheap workers.”

Global Warming and the Jonestown Koolaid

I always wondered, all of my life, how those people could have drank that KoolAid at Jonestown. How could that many people believe all of that and really drink it? Later on in my life, this strange phenomenon breached my concscienceness again when the Hale-Bop Comet came by the Earth and all those people wearing Nike’s tennis shoes thought the comet was the mothership that they needed to beam up to,  because they thought the Earth was going to be recycled. They drank the KoolAid as well. Heaven’s Gates people they were called.

Befuddled, I, later in life, was hit with this strange happening where people thought something so outrageous as a mass group, but this time it was on a world wide scale never seen before. This time it affected people I knew. People I respected. People who for the most part hold no fringe views of anything, but just happened to believe this one thing. “Man is responsible for global warming.” To have such a big portion of the world vainly believe this nonsense is startling. To ignore the fact that the sun has everything to do with this and ignore all the times massive weather events have happen before throughout the Earth’s history, is to deny reality itself.

Not a single weather event in our lifetime has not happened before. Not one. Not a single weather event. All part of the ebb and flow of the planet. To believe that we are so powerful to massively change the Earth’s temperature is tantamount to thinking we are God. Yet somehow, it sinks in with so many smart people.

People confusing pollution with the Earth’s temperature. Making it a better planet together for good air quality and good water, somehow morphs into some idea that we are truly affecting the Earth’s temperature to such a degree that we would kill us all.

Madness, all of it. To have no understanding of the ice ages and the times the earth was so hot it affected everything. Crops, migration of people and animals to adapt to the current climate at the time. Even when it happened over and over again before man walked the Earth, nothing wakes these people up who believe this fallacy.

Those of us who see through this massive facade are labeled “flat Earth people” or “People who just don’t understand like they do.” Al Gore does nothing about walking the walk of this cultist spell, yet makes millions of dollars spreading the fear of this factual holocaust. There are people filling their homes with mercury light bulbs putting a potential haz-mat problem in their homes on a mass scale; believing they can stop the planet from burning up.

For thinking people, we are not in Kansas anymore. We have slipped so far down the rabbit hole that not even tapping our heals together three times will get us out of this in our lifetime.

Gays Battle Pastor Rick Warren

Gay groups across the country have mounted a nationwide collective scream at President elect Barack Obama for his pick of Pastor Rick Warren to be apart of the inauguration day. Their anger stems from Pastor Warren’s public efforts to defeat proposition 8 in California which was based on gay marriage being legal.

In a stunning reversal of reality, the gay groups ignore the fact that Barack Obama is completely against gay marriage. Shall I say that again? President elect Barack Obama is against gay marriage. A fact that is always left out of the discussion.

Now since Obama doesn’t believe a man should marry another man or a woman should marry another woman, Pastor Rick Warren, on this subject, is more in line with our new president’s thoughts than any of these gay groups are.

Pastor Rick and Barack hold the same view on gay marriage, yet gay groups somehow feel betrayed by the incoming president. Since both men hold the same view on this subject, why is only one of the men hated by gay groups? Why do gay groups feel betrayed by Obama, when Barack was a man who went to church with his whole family each Sunday and believes  that marriage should be left alone.  Why do they think they have an ally in him on gay marriage?

Why not hold Barack Obama to the same standard as Rick Warren? This disconnect that gay activists have on the reality of this subject and understanding is a clean break from common sense and drips with the awkwardness of confronting someone who his having a hard time with reality.
